Individuals and companies can donate any amount via cash, cheque or internet banking directly to the savings account or to the Project Fund Raising Committee in your location.

Donations can be in any currency but Ringgit Malaysia (RM) is preferred as other currency will attract bank charges and administration may be complex.

Each donor will receive a letter from the Bario Asal & Arur Layun Micro-Hydro Project Committee acknowledging receipt of the donation.

Donations made will be fully used towards defraying costs incurred for the Micro-Hydro project. There is no profit motive behind this project which is intended only to benefit Bario Asal and Arur Layun longhouse occupants, to preserve forests around the watershed area over the long-term and potentially share knowledge with other longhouses which may require such assistance.

Do however note that donations will not be tax deductible for Malaysian residents and nationals. For those outside Malaysia, please contact your local tax authorities to determine if there is any tax treaty or other law that may allow you to deduct your donations from your income.

Small donations can make a big difference, but if one knows of any foundations or individuals who could provide more substantial funds to this cause, please do not hesitate to contact us.
