An uninformed visitor to these pages might go away with the impression that the Kelabits live only in Bario and the Kelabit Highlands.  This is not the case.  As the story on Bario will show, there are quite a few Kelabit longhouses, some in the Kelabit Highlands itself, others in the lowlands of the Baram district.

At the moment, we do not have enough information to do a proper write-up on any of these longhouses.  We would be happy to hear from anyone who can provide us with information, and photographs, of these longhouses.  Send us an .
